Standard vs. Deluxe vs. Ultimate Edition: What’s Actually Different
Published 7/10/2026
What the higher editions usually add
Above the Standard edition, publishers typically bundle in some mix of: the season pass or expansion content, a set of cosmetic items, a digital soundtrack or artbook, and occasionally a few days of early access. None of it changes the base game — it's extra content sold at a bundled price, usually cheaper than buying the same add-ons separately later.
When the upgrade is worth it
- You already know you'll want the season pass or expansions — buying them bundled at release is almost always cheaper than adding them individually later.
- The price difference between editions is small relative to what the extra content would cost on its own.
When it isn't
- You're not sure you'll finish the base game, let alone its expansions.
- The extras are purely cosmetic and you don't care about in-game appearance items.
Comparing editions on Looti
When a game has more than one recognized edition for sale, its product page shows an edition dropdown next to the region filter — switch between them to compare the price difference directly, instead of checking each edition on a separate page.
